Юго-восточная Испания, провинция Валенсия (историческая область Мурсия), северо-западная возвышенность Мурсия, 90 км от Сима де лас Паломас, северо-западнее города Хатива (=Ятива), около города Чива, Ла Костера, долина реки Альбанда, река Кипар, пещера Кова-Негра-де-Беллюс; 38°59' Сев., 00°32' Зап.

Фауна, ландшафт и климат:

Пещера карстовая.

Фауна: Черепахи; слон, носорог Мерка, лошадь, благородный олень, козёл, бык, леопард, заяц.

Ландшафт мозаичный: галерейные леса в долине, вероятно, рефугии древних растений и деревьев, болота, глубокие озёра, степи, заросли кустарника, сосняки.

Климат очень холодный, сезонные летние болота рядом с реками.

Археология:

Мустье с ашельскими традициями в

III культурном слое. Культура тайяк. Нижний культурный уровень – древнее мустье с преобладанием клектонской техники; верхний культурный уровень – мустье, переходное к ориньяку с элементами атера.

Возраст:
90 тыс.л.н.
Таксономическое определение:

Homo sapiens cf. subsp. neanderthalensis.

Много фрагментов костей, преимущественно из слоя III: теменная кость, зубы, диафизЦентральная трубчатая часть у длинных костей, между эпифизами. левой локтевой, фрагмент диафиза плечевой и т.д.

Теменная кость очень толстая. Мозг близок к мозгу классических неандертальцев.
